WALCOTT, Iowa — Jane A. Voss, 57, a resident of Walcott, Iowa, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. The family will greet friends Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Jane Ann Stepp was born February 12, 1954, in Davenport, a daughter of Robert and Marion (Lykam) Stepp. She was united in marriage to Ray J. Voss on November 8, 1975, at Holy Family Catholic Church.. Jane graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Business Administration in 1999. She was employed in the Business Office of the Eastern Iowa Community School District. Cooking, baking and “shopping ’til she dropped” were a few of Jane’s favorite things to do. She loved the Cubs, was a very generous and giving soul, and had a tremendous work ethic. She was a member of the “Kahl Girls,” a group of friends she had at work. Jane was a loving wife and mother. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gilda’s Club or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Survivors include her husband, Ray, Walcott; sons, Todd (Claudia Alonzo) Voss, Davenport, and Jeff (Shayleen) Voss, Davenport; siblings, Linda Jensen, Davenport, Bob (Deb) Stepp, Colorado Springs, Colo., Joe Stepp, Eldridge, Bill Stepp, Mesa, Ariz., Mary Stepp, Davenport, Tim (Trendy) Stepp, Wyoming, Iowa, Debbie (Craig Day) Stepp, Florissant, Mo., Patti (Loren) McFate, Davenport, Jim (Alecia) Stepp, Omaha, Neb., and Brian (Liz) Stepp, Tampa, Fla.; mother-in-law, Lovetta Voss, Davenport; brothers-in-law, Ross Voss, Jerusalem, Israel, and Mark and Matt Voss, both of Davenport; sister-in-law, Gina (John) Brennan, Dubuque, Iowa; her dog, Toby, and cat, “Kitty” Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Raymond Voss, sister-in-law, Rita Marie Voss, and brother-in-law, Gary Jensen. May they rest in peace.
